Flower of the Day: Rudbeckia

RudbekiaThis photographer’s favorite summer flower is rudbeckia — probably because its common name is Black-Eyed Susan (even though she seldom, if ever, sports black eyes).

These Black-Eyed Susans (probably goldsturm or fulgida variety) were snapped in front of the Cherry Republic store in Glen Arbor, Michigan, early last fall.
