Philadelphia Flower Show, PennsylvaniaThe Philadelphia Flower Show will be held February 28, 2020, through March 8, 2020, in the Pennsylvania Convention Center, 1101 Arch Street, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Tickets are available online.

There will be more than 10 acres of gardens, plus all sorts of plant-centric competitions, special events, and seminars — plus an interactive exhibit that includes more than 1,000 butterflies.

This year’s theme is the Mediterranean Riviera. Participating floral and garden designers will immerse visitors in the sights, scents, and tastes of the region. Citrus trees and sweeps of lavender will form a vision of Riviera life as visitors wander along intimate pathways to a whole new crop of experiences, garden displays, and artistic design. The Show will include acres of lush garden landscapes with five new designers including James and Helen Basson of Scape Design, and Laurélie de la Salle of Laurélie Paysages, both from Nice, France, and will feature an enormous variety of Mediterranean plants.

One unique event is a full-day symposium March 4, 2020, on “Gardening for Biodiversity”. Keynote speaker will be Dr. Peter Raven, a biologist and recpient of the 2018 Hubbard Medal recipient from National Geographic. The symposium, held in the convention center from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., is sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation’s US chapter, and the Embassy of Monaco in Washington, DC.

The Philadelphia Flower Show, sponsored by the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society, is the nation’s largest and longest-running horticultural event and features displays by some of the world’s premier floral and landscape designers. Started in 1829, the Show introduces diverse plant varieties and sustainable garden and design concepts. In addition to the major garden displays, the Flower Show hosts competitions in horticulture and artistic floral arranging, gardening presentations and demonstrations, special events, and the citywide Bloom Philly pre-Show celebration.

Flower Show revenue supports Pennsylvania Horticultural Society (PHS) greening efforts which help connect people through horticulture, and work together to create beautiful, healthy and sustainable communities.Philadelphia Flower Show, Pennsylvania
