“Flower” of the Day: Silvery Aluminum
Whaddya do when a plant produces no flowers?
Faced with this problem on a Dracaena in the lobby of Mémoire d’Angkor Hotel, Siem Reap, Cambodia, the staff came up with a novel (and long-lasting) solution: flowers fashioned from silvery alumninum.
Dracena, by the way, is also known as the snake plant, Saint George’s sword, mother-in-law’s tongue, and viper’s bowstring hemp, among other names, according to Wikipedia.
