Flower of the Day: Lilacs

Some of the couches in the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, Michigan, are upholstered in this flowery lilac print.
The annual Lilac Festival on the island started yesterday (June 9, 2017) and runs through June 18, 2017. Because it’s so far north, lilacs are just beginning to bloom in early June.
