newyork_albany_schuylerDuring “Farm Day in the City”, visitors will learn about farming methods of the 18th century.

It’s set for noon June 1, 2013 (rain date of June 2, 2013) at the Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site, 32 Catherine Street, Albany, New York (map).

There’ll also be farm animals, Vermont sheep shearer Fred DePaul, sheep dogs in action and information about sustainable farming as well as an explanation of the history of Major General Philip Schuyler’s farm.

It’s part of the Path Through History initiative connecting historic and cultural attractions throughout New York State.
