india_bangalore_flower-showThe annual flower show in the glass conservatory at Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens, Bangalore, India, will be held for 10 days, centering on Republic Day — January 26, 2014. Floral confections of all sizes are planned.

Lal Bagh or Lal Bagh Botanical Gardens was originally commissioned by Hyder Ali, the ruler of Mysore, and later finished by his son Tipu Sultan. It houses India’s largest collection of tropical plants, and also has an aquarium and a lake.

Lal Bagh (“Red Garden”) is open daily from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout the year.
