A Poinsettia Parade and Festival in Florida
Snowbirds take note. A poinsettia parade and festival are set for December 8, 2017, in North Port, Florida.
The Poinsettia Parade steps off at 5 p.m. that evening. Themed “Holidays Around the Word,” the parade route will travel south on Sumter Boulevard from Sylvania Avenue to City Hall Boulevard. It ends at the Poinsettia Festival, which will be on the grounds of City Center, 4970 City Hall Boulevard, North Port, Florida.
The Poinsettia Festival hours are 4 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8:30 p.m., bracketing the parade. The event, which includes an annual tree lighting ceremony, will take place throughout the grounds of City Center, including on the Front Green, inside the George Mullen Activity Center, and inside City Hall. It will feature food vendors, entertainment, attractions, and vendors.
